What Is a Radicle?

A radicle is the first part of a corn seed to break through during germination. It becomes the primary root, growing downward to anchor the young plant and draw in the water and nutrients it needs to grow.

BE Radicle strives to be that root system for your endurance running journey: grounding you and helping you thrive.

OUR MISSION: At BE Radicle Racing, we're growing a trail running family in the heart of central Illinois. Everyone belongs here, whatever your race, ethnicity, or sexual orientation. We'll welcome you at the start and cheer you to the finish.

We're building races worth traveling for, and we hope to welcome ultra runners from across the country. Our trails are quiet, beautiful, and still a well-kept secret, and we can't wait to share them. Every race supports our local community and park district and helps care for the trails we love.

That care runs deep. Through trail work and local projects, we're protecting these spaces for the next generation. We're also working to open the sport to everyone, especially runners in rural communities who rarely have a starting line close to home.

Above all, we want to help you reach your endurance goals and find a community that keeps you coming back. We're just getting started, and we'd love for you to grow with us.
